Comfortable white mountain getaway (in a cellar!)

“The world is not in your books and cards. It’s there, ” said Gandalf to Bilbo The Hobbit. When the owners of Alpine garden glamping Built the comfortable dome -shaped cabins they call hobbit houses in the heart of the white mountains of New Hampshire, they lost a family tradition to encourage people to go there over there… And explore. And as an annoyance Rings Fan, I found the irresistible look.

Located on the grounds of a work cellar, this Glamping village managed by the family offers four cabins, four “Hobbit houses”, a retro motorhome, seven motorhome campsites and a magnificent hut in trees. The campsite village is open from mid-May to mid-November, but the cellar is open all year round to Monday from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m.

In recent years, I have tried a lot of white mountain glamping places. After all, even if I don’t like tents campsite, a visit to the mountains calls something more … outdoors … than a traditional hotel. Of all these glamping spots in New Hampshire, Alpine Garden at the most central location to explore all the things to do in the white mountains.

So how Alpine garden glamping Compare the other white mountain glampage options? Let’s go into the grainy nitty and pass through the housing,, equipment,, locationAnd things to do nearby.

Housing

The Alpin Garden Glamping village opened in 2022. The newly built cabins have a fresh and clean appearance and were decorated with a mixture of intimate keys (such as wooden bear accessories) and retro devices, such as the hub and the refrigerator of Magic Chef de Victrola.

The campsite itself is compact, with all the cabins nestled in a small neat row, backwards on or in front of VR campsites. He borders the experimental forest of White Mountain and the railways used by the Conway Scenic Railroad. Unlike large camping grounds like Koa, where you could find VRs that are by Semi-Permanente, it is definitely a campsite for visitors, which makes me feel at home.

Glamping huts / Hobbit houses

Glamping Dome Thorne Pond at Alpine Garden Glamping

Since I was visiting solo, I decided to try one of the Hobbit houses, # 7 Thorne pond To be precise, because it was the perfect size for me, and more unique than the cabins. From 124 comfortable square feet, these dome -shaped cabins are perfect for the minimum stay of two nights.

Outside, the cabin porch is equipped with two Adirondack chairs to sit and take advantage of the large spaces, take the fall foliage or monitor fauna (moose, bear and deer can all make an appearance but don’t worry, the cabin has its own door parking stages.)

Once you enter inside, you are immediately charmed by light hardwood and clean design. On the right is a small bench and a final table. On the left is the Kitchenette district, with a sink, a mini-refrigerator / freezer, a Nespresso coffee maker and a Victrola hub with Bluetooth capacities (and a whole collection of vinyls that you can borrow from the camp store.)

Straight, a Queen bed is hidden under the curvature of the dome, garnished with a crunchy duvet and soft pillows. Although it is a queen, the bed has walls on both sides, so you have to crawl on it, which is preferable for couples who like to snuggle up (or solo travelers like me.)

On the other side of the bed is a full bathroom enclosed with a standing shower and equipped with waffle dresses, towels, body washing, packaging shampoo and even a hairdryer. Give you most of the comfort of the house!

The cabins have both heat and air conditioning, which makes it comfortable for each season. The WiFi Camp signal is still strong enough to broadcast, at least part of the time.

Cabins

In addition to the four Hobbit houses, there are four cabins. THE Notch Pinkham cabin is the largest with 400 square feet, and he sleeps up to six with a day -in -law of twin -waisted foam and twin bunk beds in the main living room, and a bed of queen -waive foam in the private room. The cabin also has a hearth, a charcoal grill, a picnic table and a private screening porch, as well as additional interior equipment, including a dining room, a kitchen sink, a two-burner tray and a large refrigerator with a freezer.

The other three cabins (Bear stream cabin,, Racket cabinAnd Notch Crawford cabin) are a little smaller at 280 square feet and sleep only two. With a kitchenette like the Hobbit houses, the cabins have a full bathroom with a bathtub with claws and have an open concept bedroom with a bed of queen’s waist foam.

Trees hut

Treehouse in Alpine Garden Glamping

The real jewel of the crown is the Alpine garden trees house. With a spacious 675 square feet, this Rustic Brookside tree house offers antiquities and original illustrations. Inside, there is a living room, a kitchen sink with a dining table, a Nespresso machine, a mini-refrigerator with a small freezer and a full bathroom with a Japanese bathtub.

On the first floor, you will find a two-day bed and a Queen sofa bed for the largest families or groups. In the master loft, there is a Queen-size bed and a twin bed. Outside, the trees hut also has the most space with a personal home, a charcoal grill, an outdoor dining room with a picnic table, a hammock chair, a covered porch and a private terrace on the third floor.

Trailer

If you really want to become comfortable, try it Miss Betty White Camper. This pretty retro trailer welcomes two people with a motorhome and a dining area which also converts to a small bed intended for a toddler. There is a sailor style bathroom, or you can use the shared bathing bath. The motorhome welcomes two people in an open concept lounge with a queen-taille-size flag mattress.

The cabins are also equipped with basic utensils, pot holders, cups, plates, glasses and a lighting tool. The small refrigerator, so if you plan to cook on the grill, I would recommend bringing a cooler. You can see my other essential elements on the glamping packaging list for more ideas.

Alpine Garden Glampage America

The Alpine Garden Glamping village has a heated swimming pool open from May to October. There are beautiful lounge chairs around the pool, but you will want to bring your own towels.

On site, there is a camp store that offers charcoal lighters, firewood, fire starter, ice and other essential basic campsite. This is also where you can borrow vintage vinyl to play on the Disque Tour in your cabin.

The most unique amenities are the Alpine garden cellarwhich is open all year round from Thursday to Monday from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. The cellar offers natural wines and ciders in the natural sparkling style, which many call “pet-nat”. The fruit is grown nearby in Bartlett, NH and all the ciders and the wine are both in a hurry and in internal bottle.

End

Glamping of the Alpine Garden has an excellent location and some equipment (such as a swimming pool and a cellar) that you do not find on many glamping sites. The cabins are quite close to each other and it is immediately a major road, so it is not the quietest, but it still maintains a peaceful setting. The glamping / hobbit houses are adorable, comfortable, comfortable and very well appointed. They do not have quite the style you will find in a place like Lumen Nature Retreat, but they have complete bathrooms, which is a huge plus in my eyes. Do not hesitate to book a stay!
