Kampgrounds of America (Koa) It is not only for rivers or tent campers, Koa Holiday and Resort campsite are destinations for themselves. These camping terrains offer a mixture of luxury camping cabins, motorhome sites (including those with patios) and shaded tent sites, as well as amenities that make a vacation as fun as the attractions you find nearby.
Some of these campsite, such as the Koa near Lincoln / Woodstock In white mountains, even glamping options. Since glamping is my favorite campsite way, I tried different options for glamping in the NH, like Huttopia and Lumen Nature Retreat. When I discovered that the Koa Lincoln / Woodstock NH offers a luxury safari tent, a cabin cabin in trees and a COOL constoga wagon as accommodation, I said Register me!
I tried the luxury camping cabins at Koa near Mystic, CT in the past and I was delighted to try something new and different. I wanted to see how the Glamping experience in Koa compared to places from other glamping spots in New England.

Koa Lincoln / Woodstock Review
Note: I was organized during a free two night stay by Kampgrounds of America for the purposes of this review. I shared my honest feelings and all opinions are mine.
As I mentioned, the Koa Lincoln / Woodstock offers various glamping options, including traditional camping cabins, luxury cabins, a luxury safari tent, a tree cabin with a large rear terrace and a conestoga.

Constoga Wagon
I was very tempted to try the Constoga wagon because I grew up while loving Small house on the meadow And I dreamed of this type of stay since I saw it for the first time a few years ago. However, I am also practical and for a stay in mid-October, I knew that I would not want to go far from my comfortable bed to reach a bathroom in the middle of the night.

Constoga has a private private bathroom with a dropout shower, a sink and toilet located just outside the wagon. The wagon is beautifully decorated with a King size bed, bunk beds and a small refrigerator and coffee maker. The only drawback is that it is located between two VR sites, so if these are full, I can imagine that it would remove the atmosphere at night to hear the generators and the sound of the neighbors.
Luxury Safari Tent

Instead, I chose to stay in the luxury safari tent. Given the strong winds and the early cold front that arrived while I was there, I am happy to have made this choice (even if I would recommend it as a better option for the end of spring to September.) The tent itself was much more pleasant and more luxurious than our trapper tent in Huttopia. It is larger, more permanent and better named. That said, he did not have a stove or pots and pots for cooking, so you are a little more dependent to eat or bring food.
At the front, the tent has a spacious porch with soft terrace furniture. There is also a wooden swing and a fireplace, as well as a picnic table and a parking space. Inside, the tent has two bedrooms, a dining area and a full bathroom.
When you enter, the kitchen area with a sink and Keurig is on the left. On the right, a kitchen table and four chairs, a dormitory style refrigerator and a microwave, with a small selection of plates, bowls, cups and glasses. There is even a cable TV and you may be able to access a little wifi. Really a luxury glamping!

There is also enough electricity, with outdoor and interior lighting and sockets to load your devices. Prepared for weather fluctuations, the tent is also equipped with a standing fan and two space radiators. Of course, the radiators could only do so many things to repel freezing temperatures, so the chance that there were also a lot of blankets so that I could climb.
The bathroom has a wooden barn door and there is a pedestal sink and a shower cabin in a room and the toilet in another. The shower even had a rain shower and jets for a relaxing spray after the hike. Hot water does not last long but it was enough to warm up.
In the corridor is a separate room with twin bunk beds and a small night stand. On the right, you will find the main room with a four -friends Queen bed, a night stand and a shelf for storage. The whole tent is more like a cabin, with the exception of robust canvas walls, and it is decorated on a theme of Safari.
I slept in more comfortable beds, but it really looked like a glamor campsite experience than ready-to-campair, more used in Huttopia. Keep in mind that the tent is between two smaller VR sites that had a motorhome and a small motorhome when I stayed there. Thus, while it retreats to Woods, there are neighbors nearby. It was more spacious and private than the location of the Constoga wagon, but not as spread as what you find in a complex like Huttopia.
Koa Lincoln / Woodstock AMENITIES

The Koa Lincoln / Woodstock has been a Koa campsite for 50 years, offering classic family friendly family equipment that Koa campers frequently appreciate. There is a small mini-golf course, a dog park, a playground, a swimming pool (in summer), beach volleyball, disc and my favorite, a pad. The camp store offers camping bases, with a small selection of snacks and drinks, as well as popcorn and (sometimes) pizza.
Koa Lincoln / Woodstock location

The Koa Lincoln does not have the same outdoor feeling as the Huttopia White Mountains, which is located on a lake and has more campsites spread (as well as a playroom, a basketball field and an aerial trailer truck.) However, the location is only five minutes of leave 93 with a quick and easy access to the Kancamagus highway and And to the rest of the highway.
Keep in mind that you will hear road traffic since the site of your tent. If noise is a problem, bring ear caps! (See my full glamping packaging list!)
My last recommendation would be to keep all the food in an airtight container or in the car. The first day in the tent, I came back to find round acorns on the floor in the kitchen. At the beginning, I thought that one of the adorable Tamias that I watched outside sneak to leave me a gift. Later, I saw a soft gray mouse sneak under the sink to steal it. As cute, I’m happy to have seen it only once! It was a good reminder to zip my bags and leave them on the bed or the chairs to prevent creatures.
You can also leave valuables in the car because there is no lock on the tent. As a solo traveler, it made me a little nervous, so I left a chair in front of the flaps of the door, so I heard someone sneak at night. Of course, this is a gift that I am not a regular motorhome!
Final reflections

Despite the cold and the mouse, I spent a fabulous stay at the luxury safari tent at the Koa Lincoln / Woodstock. If I was going to stay longer, I would likely like a way to cook beyond a simple microwave. However, you can bring your own stove to the camp or use the campfire (simply follow local fire restrictions.)
It was an ideal place to explore and a lot to do on site if you have younger children. I missed the lake and the most rustic feeling of the site of Huttopia, but the koa tent is much more comfortable.
