Why you have to love the Philippines …
-How as much as I do! –
Daku Island, a beautiful deserted beach near Siargao!
Ask someone to name a tropical southeast Asian paradise and you can get Thailand,, IndonesiaOr Myanmar as an answer. While these countries each have their own fantastic attractions to be proud (the Ngapali beach in Thailand is one of my personal favorites, just so that you know), there are other countries that have their own tropical utopias.
It is no longer a secret for anyone but, for me, the Philippines are often neglected country It is the house of countless wonders and I am madly in love! You don’t believe me? Just read this article that I wrote on my time in Siargao!
Travelers who take a step in the country have more than 7,107 islands to choose. This is a lot of choice to make. It serves as a house for Powdered white beaches, crystalline blue waters, lush tropical forests and animated urban landscapes It never seems to stop moving. During my 4 months in paradise, I could not succeed in a small part of these incredible islands (here is a summary of what I saw).
A deserted atoll just for me! Guyam Island
“If it’s so wonderful, how is it that I have never heard of it?” You can ask. Well, it is not uncommon to discover that many travelers leave the Philippines from their respective routes given the way in which the country can be inaccessible. Due to its geography, the country has no land link with other neighboring countries such as those mentioned above. Even when you are in the Philippines, you will frequently find yourself reserving flights or boat walks to jump from one island to another.
However, if you end up visiting, you will see why travelers – including me – love it so much. The wonderful landscapes are very numerous, and wherever you go, you have to see someone you smile warmly (people are really incredible in there!)
Today, come with me while we learn more about the journeys of the Philippines. If you want to know what this country has in store for you, then read the rest!
Arrive: the best ways to go to the Philippines
My most beautiful moments of the Philippines!
As we mentioned above, the only means of a tourist to go to the Philippines is through plane trips. “But it’s too far!” Well, if you live in Western countries like the United States or England, then it is undeniably far. A non -stop flight from New York to Manila – the capital of the Philippines – can take until 7 p.m. You are therefore preparing to make your trip as comfortable as possible.
However, if you plan to go to Thailand or to neighboring countries anyway, you should know that the Philippines are only about 2 hours! You could therefore also include it in your route.
Immersed in the succulent nature of the island of Panay (near Pandan, where I spent more than 40 days a seaside resort – Pandan Beach Resort– In front of a deserted beach at a very affantable price, to die!)
As for the visa, citizens of 151 countries can stay in the Philippines for 30 days without bringing one, as long as they have a passport (make sure it is valid for about 7 to 8 months after the time allocated by visit) as well as a post outside the country once the 30-day period expires.
Traveling around the Philippines
Plans in Siargao (with a false attempt to look like a experienced surfer!) 🙂
I am almost sure that the majority of travelers who go to the country visit to see the natural and artificial wonders that the country has. Let me make sure that as regards attractions, the Philippines will not disappoint.
Do you want to pass a whole in a seaside resort practically intact by yourself? There are a lot of islands for that. Do you want to make the club with all your friends who love rave? There is a place for that. The country is a wonderful urban and rural mixture that can instantly sweep your feet.
I have always chosen to relax in the Philippines but you can have everything!
The geography and culture of the Philippines are so diverse and multifaceted that it has given birth to countless attractions. List them all in this article would not be possible. However, here are some of the most memorable places I have personally visited or on my list of buckets for my next trip in there (you didn’t think I would visit the Philippines once, right?):
The island of Carabao, the calm twin sister of the living Boracay! No one was on this beach, except for a few children who invited us to their home party 🙂
- Vigan City – Whenever I travel, I particularly like to know a little about the history of the country. In the case of the Philippines, Vigan gives you an interactive see the roots of the country. The city is the capital of the province of Ilocos sur and is recognized as a World Heritage Site. Take a walk in the cobbled streets while taking the magnificent architecture of the city.
- Sagada – Sagada is an immaculate city found in the province of the mountain in the Cordillera administrative region in Luzon. Those who wish to get in touch with nature should certainly visit this place. It is a natural landscape, a welcoming climate, and adorable people will help you exploit this inner Zen.
- Coron – Now, let’s direct the group of Visayas Islands. This part of the archipelago has a lot of breathtaking beaches. Coron – A comfortable municipality in the province of Palawan is a paradise for those who wish to explore the underwater wonders of the Philippines. There are a lot of diving points here, each with their own glasses to offer.
Me in the magnificent Coron! You cannot miss this point of view for anything in the world! -So kayangan lake-
- El nido – El Nido is an island of Palawan that I can only describe in one word: “Paradise”. If you want to get a real experience of coastal living in the Philippines, this quiet island should be at the top of your list. Walking barefoot on the beautiful white sand beach while taking crystalline blue waters makes you want to stay there for the rest of your life.
Paradise on earth in El Nido! I loved this place during our day’s boat trip!
Here is a video of my time in Palawan (Coron and El Nido!)

If you want to go’s jump, you just have to pay around $ 20 per person. Talk about it affordable!
The Philippine People
Among all the different countries I have visited, I can say that the Philippins are a few – otherwise the most friendly people I have ever met. I did a lot of friends during my first week in the Philippines, and they are all so eccentric, wonderful and above all.
The English language is widely used in the Philippines, to my relief. The linguistic barrier has often been a drawback each time I visited other Asian countries, so imagine how happy I was to find how easy it is to converse with almost all those you meet here.
Invited to a real Philippine party on a remote island – an unforgettable carabao -!
When you visit a room fiestaExpect that the whole neighborhood will give Viands bowls. Karaoke – or riderAs the Philippins call it – is also considered a highly social event. Expect to see at least one video feast every night, in each city.
Overall, if making new friends is your concern, you can be assured that you will find a lot here. Make sure you smile and free up conviviality, and everyone will do the same.
A beautiful country from start to finish!
Me with beautiful Philippine girls!
Overall, my travel experience in the Philippines was incredibly incredible! Of course, they may not be as technologically and economically advanced as other countries (with a few exceptions, such as an incredible hospital in Manila that I visited for a scan). Public transport can also be bulky, but the natural beauty of the Philippines combined with the receptive nature of people compensates for its “faults”.
