For more sites, you are in the right place because I will list the other incredible places in Slovenia that you will want to see after your first trip!

Slovenia has been on my “travel radar” for years, but living on the other side of the world most of the time, I did not yet have the opportunity to visit this incredible country.

It was until September 2020, when Balkancampers Contacted me to try to honestly review their vintage motorhomes for a weekly trip to Slovenia. It was simply perfect: not only did I want to visit the country, but do it by motorhome, and a vintage nevertheless, was a dream that was coming for me. After months of isolation and quarantine, I was delighted!

Without forgetting that we were already in the middle of the Pandemic Covid-19, and traveling was almost impossible everywhere. Fortunately not in this case. Being able to reach Slovenia without risk and using a motorhome to move was one of the safest options at this particular moment.

If you want to travel again and you can reach Slovenia in a safe way, rent their motorhomes is golden. Especially if you plan to immerse yourself in nature. Which is precisely what we have done!

Stand out and rent a vintage motorhome with all the comfort!

Why choose Balkan campers to rent your motorhome:

Before diving directly into the beautiful tourist sites of Slovenia, I want to take a moment to recommend really and wholeheartedly Balkan campers For your motorhome rental.

  • Incredible motorhome van models: The collection of vintage motorhomes they provide are so cool that you will find it difficult to choose one (I know we did it!).
  • Reliable vehicles: Their employees, adorable people, check the vehicle and the engine after each trip, to make sure it is in excellent condition and will give you all the instructions to drive it safely.
  • They give you Everything you need: Basic supplies for campsite and hammock and even bicycle cooking if you need it. They have everything!
  • Their motto is fantastic: A simple “reconnection”, so true when you find yourself driving in the green and majestic landscapes of Slovenia!
  • They care about the environment: So much so that they have devoted a page on their website called “Love & Unity” where you can join a cause of your taste to support the environment and other major causes. Big thumb up for that.
  • Competitive price: From 40 to 60 euros per person (if you are 2 people or even less with additional people), you will have everything you need to discover Slovenia at your own pace. Super cheap compared to other options such as the rental of a car hotel + or the choice of an organized trip, where you are linked to a schedule.
  • Impeccable assistance on the road: Do you have a problem? No problem! Call or send an SMS to one or the other and they will reach you wherever you are for a smooth and stress -free road trip! On the third day, the electric radiator stopped working and they quickly came to our campsite to replace it. Thank you, guys!
  • A company made of authentic people: This is another aspect that we really liked about them as a whole. The Nejc, Ziha and Miha are very friendly, cheerful and passionate about their business. They will immediately transmit their love for the life of a motorhome, nature and Slovenia.

Which motorhome is right for you?

Lake Bohinj, one today favorite wandering in Slovenia, the misty atmosphere was surreal!

It is clearly not humanly possible to see everything in a week, but I always want to put a full list of things to do and see in Slovenia because, believe me, once you visit, you will be back for more!

We have not visited all the sites that I will mention below. We were able to spot some by returning to Lijubiana, and we decided to jump others for our next trip to Slovenia.

I think that trying to press a lot in a weekly itinerary, it’s counterproductive because you don’t really like the wild beauty of Slovenia.

Traveling in a motorhome, as already indicated above, mainly consists in seeing and living things at your own pace, really savoring what you do and stopping as often as you wish.

So take a look at these incredible Slovenian sites and decide which will fly your heart.

Spoiler alert: Most likely, they will all do, and you will feel overwhelmed by the choices. Don’t worry, once in Slovenia, you will know where to go first, and the rest will follow!

Below, I divided the views to see in Slovenia by regions for your convenience, in this way, you will know where to look for when you consult a Slovenia card, but the country is small, and you can go back and forth without losing too much time if you decide to change your route a little.
