Verona and Juliette’s Boob: What is it?

Verona, the most romantic city in Italy. Verona as a tragic love history of Romeo + Juliet.

And… Boob (right) of Verona and Juliet.

Today, I wanted to detach myself from my Asian life and dig a little in my travel memories, so I decided to talk about my Bella Italia, specifically on Verona, love and .. magnate!

If you have managed to visit Verona, I’m sure you haven’t missed the ultimate “romantic” gesture in the city: grop Juliette’s brass breasts. I went there in the extreme 1996, freshly graduated, before life transformed me into the old kid that I am today 🙂

Full of hope and innocence (can you believe it?) I also climbed the statue and touched the magic breasts, asking my Pagan Pagan God to send me the love of my life.

Perhaps in the form of Leonardo Di Caprio. I was still a teenager after all.

The film Romeo + JulietteAnd the beauty of Leo was fresh in my memory so as not to connect the drama of Shakespeare “sacred” to the profane film star.

Juliet House in Verona: the famous statue

Romeo + Juliet 1996

Let me tell you something: no one is immune to Temple of pagan love in Verona. Juliette’s house is a continuous pilgrimage of people of all ages.

I remember the atmosphere in the courtyard as yesterday: dozens of people, mainly couples of all ages, online to take the infamous photo of trial and error. And just for the good of art? I don’t think.

Admittedly, the little boys were only there for the game, but the main part of the people will not visit the romance.

Strangely, if you ask one of these tourists, none of them would admit that they are there to feel that “love is in the air”. It’s too cheesy, right?

But, in fact, love is indeed in the air in Juliette’s courtyard. Even with the crowd and the romantic gesture, I cannot deny that I felt something. Otherwise, I would not explain why I still remember the city, and Juliette’s house So clearly after more than 15 years!

Verona has many other attractions to discover, but it would be a profane sacrilege to go there and not visit the Boobs. It’s like going to Rome and not visiting the Colosseum or the St Peter church.

Romance-Verona-Italie-7861-654359And it’s not just the breasts, it’s also Love locks on Juliette’s doorThe post with the wishes of lovers or wants to be lovers attached on the wall. This is the balcony where Shakespeare described a Juliette desire while waiting for her love.

I may be an old cynical blasting woman these days, but I still believe in love to some extent and that would not bother me to return one day to renew my luck so far! Of all the cities in northern Italy, Verona is one of the most expensive for me. It’s pretty surprising to see how I still remember so many details of my 4-day trip in there.

Things to do and see in Verona

Verona-Panorama1The quiet and peaceful walks along the Adige River, the famous arena with its suggestive operating evenings in summer, the general atmosphere of the city and, of course, Juliette’s house.

I even remember the Charming little hotel We remained, so comfortable, with a small window facing the river. It was so calm and relaxing. The ideal place to think of love with my young heart always in one piece.

Juliette Magic Boob worked rather well for me, I had a lot of love after my visit to Verona, but also a lot of broken hearts. I think they should put a warning on the breasts: warning, it can cause broken hearts, touch your risk!

Even if you decide that Juliette’s breasts are not your cup of tea, Verona is a city that should not be missed if you visit the northern part of Italy. I know that I loved the place instantly for its quiet atmosphere, and I plan to return as soon as possible for a deeper exploration.

This time armed with my camera, because it is so shame that I have no evidence of my perverse-romantic groping, and all the other wonders of the city! They were moments when trips simply meant to live the experience, not to think about documenting each song. Good times indeed! 🙂

Have you ever been to Verona? And, did you know Juliette’s magic breasts?
