5 | Design a trip based on interaction with the inhabitants
One of the most enriching and most that changes the life of my life: being invited to a birthday party by the inhabitants who saw us on a deserted beach on the island of Carabao-Philippines.
There is no better guide for a city than someone who was born and grew up there. That being said, it is not always the simplest task of the world to meet the inhabitants, especially if you are a reserved / shy person. Fortunately, there are many websites that can help you connect with authentic residents of your destination.
One of the first of its kind, Couchsurf is a platform that corresponds to travelers with local residents who are ready to let you stay on their sofa (or in their friends room, on a mattress on the floor, etc.) for free!
People who register on couchsurfing tend to be travelers from the world open or at least budding travelers!
Connect with the local community of the Philippines of the charming island of Panay. Nothing beats the experience of being welcomed by the inhabitants like this!
Another option on the table is, of course, Airbnb, with a particular accent on the last company of the company, Airbnb Experiences. Register for an experience with a room, including a wide variety of activities such as food visits, cooking lessons, horse trail walks, cellar visits, arts and craft workshops and all that you could imagine.
Finally and above all, an excellent way to find new local populations and interact with them is Encounterwhich is full of free events to which you can register. Make friendships, meet residents with similar views and share your interests in a relaxed and authentic environment!
