4 | Huge sand dunes
Important premise! Many people confuse Piscinas (the city) with Piscinas Beach, which are far enough from each other! So, to make your life easier, here is a card to show you where Piscinas Beach and the city with the same name are π
As you can see, there are almost 2 hours of each other! If you use a browser, be sure to define it on the right one π
Piscinas and Scivu Beach are two of the most suggestive on the west coast of Sardinia, with the first (Piscinas) commonly known as the beach with the highest sand dunes in Europe.
To give you an idea of ββthe beauty of these places, I found a video on YouTube that (book for music π) is quite incredible. Check it and I will tell you how to reach these places by car from Cagliari!
As you can see, the two beaches are superb, with a Magnificent view of sunset. Piscinas is one of the best, because you can climb a dune and enjoy the show that Mother Nature is in place every day from this point of view!
These beaches are also super famous for kite surfers and windsurfing because of the winds (Especially scivu: if you go for a windy day, you will find yourself surrounded by dozens of colored kite!)
Important security note: This is valid almost everywhere on the beaches of the West Coast, but for swimming pools and SCIVU in particular, Water becomes deep very quickly and there are a few strong underwater currents, so please be caution when swimming And keep an eye on children at any time and only allow them to stay on the shore.
Some days, the waves are also quite high, which makes it very difficult to stay in the water. If you want to have fun playing, but don’t go too far, just stay in an area very close to the shore (and use a fairly robust and secure bikini !!)
How to get to Piscinas and Scivu de Cagliari by car:
Quick note: I suggest you use the browser because it is not super intuitive and, in the end, approaching the swimming pools, The road becomes quite rough with a few kilometers of paved land. That said, you will be completely immersed in the desert and it will be an incredible adventure!
The same can be said about Scivu, under a card on how to go there. (It is not worth driving from Piscinas to Scivu or Viceversa, there is no direct route and you will have to go back and waste absolutely.
