If you read my blog, you know that I am a strange creature. I can go crazy for a month of camping on the road, resembling a dirty homeless, and dream (and go) in super sophisticated places with a Sweet spot for spa and overflow pools.
Hell, I have a whole Plate on Pinterest Dedicated to this subject! Today, I will produce my memory path while I will put my “pretty woman’s costume” last August and I headed for the charming Tuscany campaign for a weekend that I will never forget!

Villa Le Maschere: Do I dream?!
Villa le Maschere is located near Florence airport in the Mugello region, surrounded by the beautiful hills of Tuscany, a perfect setting that will allow you to feel like a real princess (or a price of course, let’s not discrimino!).
Do you remember when Julia Roberts entered the Super Luxury hotel accompanied by Edward (Richard Gere)? Well, my reaction to enter the villa Le Maschere was quite similar to his (except for the curse and the prostitute dress) 😀
The room is majestic, finely decorated with sofas, sculptures and flowers. I stayed there with admiration for a second, slapping my face to make sure I don’t dream it!
No, everything was real! The image on the left is one of the many spectacular pieces on the ground floor, which hosted dinners in gala in the past, and is now a passage to the other areas of the property.
Infinnyment pools
To say that it is paradise is an understatement! Look for.
Usually, when you mention an infinity pool, you immediately associated it with a blue color and 90% of the time during daylight. GOOD, Villa Le Maschere is special even with regard to its swimming pools!
They do not have one but two swimming pools: one is directly connected to that of the interior through a set of sliding doors (more on this celestial place below!), And the second is a few meters below the first, directly facing an incredible panorama of hills and green lakes.
To make things even more special, if the swimming pool during the day has its usual turquoise color, as you can see, It becomes bright red at night. One evening after dinner, I decided to walk around and enjoy the full moon overlooking the side of the property swimming pool, I was in admiration.
This is not something you see every day. It was a magical and breathtaking experience.

In the first swimming pool, you can see the light from the indoor pool on the left, and you can swim from the inside to the outdoor pool!
This is the second infinity pool, facing the hills, where I took the time to admire the moon. Such a peaceful place!
In my opinion, the night version of the swimming pools is even more magical, but if you are curious to see them during the day … that’s it!

So why don’t I have a photo like hers, swimming in this fabulous swimming pool? Because I guess someone was very envious that I visited this dream place, and I felt sick (just for a day, bizarre), with a strong fever and co.
Fortunately for me, I recovered fairly quickly (thanks to a massive dose of paracetamol) as I couldn’t miss the spa day for anything in the world. No jokes. I am all about wellness centers and spas!

I would have stayed there at least a week in a row if it was for me. Well, no … let’s be a month!

Feel like a princess all the time!
The Villa Le Maschere rooms are simply incredible. Mine, in particular, was special, and they could not have chosen a better one for me. At the bottom, a super comfortable bed with a window overlooking the park and the hills and green lakes of Tuscany.
Upstairs is a “relaxing” area with sofas and a ceiling painted in bright colors. I spend an entire afternoon (when I get back from my sudden fever) lying there and admiring the whole room since the floor.
We also had the chance to visit some of the other rooms, in particular the master bedroom on the top floor with its majestic jacuzzi and an incredible view, and another room, which was an entire apartment, with a living room and windows facing both sides of the villa.

The perfect location to discover the beautiful surrounding areas of Tuscany
The villa is strategically located to offer you not only its incredible luxury atmosphere, but also offer you the essential opportunity to discover beautiful villages nearby and, why not … enjoy a golf course (if you have not already tried it) or to train a little during the holidays!
We went to Una poggio dei medici golf club To give it a blow (literally!). In my case, it was my first time, and it was so fun, even by establishing that I managed to strike (very weakly, could I add) a ball of … 20?!
Oh, laughter! I did not think that playing golf could be physically difficult, but my arms and hands were painful all day after the match. It is always worth trying, but navigating in the green field with special “golf cars” has already been a relaxing experience.
Ay una poggio dei medici gave us lunch, a delicious “Pappa al Pomodoro”, “ A typical Italian dish, and we managed to enjoy their swimming pool in the afternoon.

And the ancient art of the manufacture of knives

In Italy, traditions are very important. Your weekend at Villa Le Maschere could not be completed without a visit to the charming village of ScarperiaWith a stop in the old Pietro store, which is now open just to show people the ancient art of the manufacture of knives.
Pietro is a qualified, colorful and very Italian character who fortunately showed us how the craftsmen used to patiently manufacture beautiful knives before modern industry took control of traditions.
It was a fascinating visit, the laboratory, the fire to soften the metal and forge the knives and all the exposed instruments. A very special gentle light surrounded this “bootga” (as we call it in Italy), which makes it a really memorable cultural experience.

After visiting Bottega knives, we had the opportunity to walk in the streets of Scarperia, a small village so pleasant, serene and very typically Italian, with its old doors, its narrow streets and the famous “Palazzo dei vicari” Where you can admire a permanent exhibition of knives (and swords), as well as see the old rooms still finely decorated.
